children participating in youth footballBeware, parents: another youth sports season is upon us and it’s that time of the year again to make sure your child has received a recent physical exam. In order for your child to participate in any youth sports program, whether it be for high school sports or for Little League, they will need to display proof of a recent physical. The reason these sports programs require their participants to have undergone a recent sports physical is to ensure each member is healthy enough to compete in physical activity. Unfortunately, many parents wait until the last moment to schedule an appointment for their child, which, considering the volume of sports physicals being administered at this time of the year, may be a bit difficult. If you’re one of these parents, it may be too late for your child to schedule an appointment with their physician.

Thankfully, we here at American Family Care in Alpharetta, GA are here to make sure your child can participate in sports. Our center offers sports physicals on a walk-in basis at a cost equivalent to what your child’s physician’s office would charge. We make it easy for children to receive their sports physical because we recognize the importance of youth sports. We believe competing in these athletics is a major part of childrens’ emotional and physical development.

With baseball, soccer, softball and lacrosse set to begin, it’s imperative that your child get their sports physical sooner rather than later. Visit us anytime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. any day of the week to get your child’s physical. Simply walk into our center, as you won’t need an appointment or referral to take advantage of our services. For more information, call us at 678-205-8155. We look forward to making sure your child gets to participate in sports this season.
